INFORMATION ABOUT AIIMS Institutions in India

• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (Abbreviated AIIMS, New Delhi or AIIMS D) is a medical school, hospital and public medical research university. The institute is ranked 1 in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework, ranked 1 in South Asia and 231 in the world in the category of Life Sciences and Medicine by QS WUR.
  AIIMS (New Delhi) was established in 1956 through an Act of Parliament and operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare AIIMS (New Delhi) is governed by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 1956. AIIMS was established in New Delhi by Rajkumari amrita kaur Ahluwalia.



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal (AIIMS Bhopal) is a medical research public university located in the Saket Nagar suburb of Bhopal Madhya Pradesh India. It is one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) established by the the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY).
  AIIMS Bhopal launched its first academic department, community and family medicine (CFM) in September 2012, formed its Institute Body (IB), in July 2013 and started post graduation courses in January 2017.



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhubaneswar (AIIMS Bhubaneswar), formerly Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose All India Institute of Medical Sciences, is a medical college and medical research public university located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha India. The institute operates autonomously under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It was established in 2012 and the foundation stone was laid by late (Bharat Ratna) Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 15 July 2003.



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur (AIIMS Jodhpur; Akhil Bharatiya Aayurvigyan Sansthan Jodhpur) is a medical college and medical research public university based in Jodhpur India. Like five All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), it was established in 2012 and operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna (AIIMS Patna), previously Jaya Prakash Narayan All India Institute of Medical Sciences (JPNAIIMS), is a medical college and medical research public university located in Phulwari Sharif Patna Bihar. Its foundation was laid by Bhiron Singh Shekhawat on 3 January 2004, during his tenure as vice-president.



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur (Abbreviated as AIIMS Raipur or AIIMS-R)  ) is a medical college and medical research public university located in Raipur Chhattisgarh, India Established in 2012, it operates autonomously under the Ministry of Home Affair (India), Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY).



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh (AIIMS Rishikesh) is a medical college and hospital based in Rishikesh Uttarakhand India. The institute operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, serves as the president. It is one of the Institutes of National Importance in India.



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalagiri (AIIMS Mangalagiri or AIIMS-M or AIIMS-MG) is a medical research public higher education institute located in the Mangalagiri in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh India. It is located between  Guntur and Vijayawada.



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur (AIIMS Nagpur) is a medical research public higher educational institute located at the Multi- modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN), Nagpur Maharashtra India. It is one of the four "Phase-IV" All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) announced in July 2014. It started operation in 2018 from a temporary campus in Nagpur.



• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bathinda (AIIMS Bathinda) is a medical college and medical research public university based in Bathinda, Punjab, India. As one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, it operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It became operational in 2019, one of the six AIIMSs to do so in 2019.



• India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar (AIIMS Deoghar) is a public medical school and hospital based in Deoghar, Jharkhand, India, and one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMSs). It is one of the six AIIMSs that started operation in 2019.
• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur (AIIMS Gorakhpur) is a public medical school located in the Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India and one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences. It is one of the four "Phase-IV" All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) announced in July 2014. It started operation of an outpatient department (OPD) in February 2019 and started MBBS courses later that year, making it one of the six AIIMSs to become operational in 2019.
• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyani (AIIMS Kalyani: Akhil Bhāratiya Āyurvignan Samsthān Kalyani) is a public medical school and hospital located in NH-34 Connector, Basantpur Saguna, Kalyani West Bengal, India, and one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences. Announced in 2014 and approved in 2015, construction started in 2016 and the institute started operation in 2019, one of six AIIMSs to do so in that year.
• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raebareli (AIIMS Raebareli) is a medical research public university and hospital based in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh India. One of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), It was established in 2013 as autonomous institution and institute of National importance through the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Act, passed in 2013.
• All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bibinagar (AIIMS Bibinagar) is a public medical college and hospital based in Bibinagar Telangana, India, and one of the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMSs). It is one of the six AIIMSs that started operation in 2019.
